In order to become a member of AKD, you must:
- Be a sociology major or a graduate student in the sociology program;
- Have accumulated at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA and at least a 3.4 GPA in sociology courses for undergraduates and at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA for graduate students;
- Have completed at least four regular sociology courses prior to initiation for undergraduates or at least one semester of graduate study for graduate students.
If you meet these qualifications, email the chapter at akdupenn@gmail.com with a copy of your unofficial transcript and a brief statement (no more than 200 words) describing your interest in becoming a member of AKD. Keep in mind, we will be verifying your transcript with the Sociology Department.
